Job Description

  • Contact new suppliers and partners – includes out-of-box thinking, proactive attitude.
  • Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
  • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.
  • Keep a constant check on stock levels.
  • Build and maintain good and professional relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided.
  • Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities, as well as identify methods to track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives and ITAB business ethics.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Involvement in RFQs, tenders, logistics.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a professional purchaser.
  • Experience in Furniture manufacturing will be as a plus.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
  • Powerful in negotiation and networking.
  • Readiness to go in deep technical details when purchasing, which often involves design, drawings etc.
  • Professional English skills, both written and verbal, as well as Latvian.
  • Analytical and technical skills, always staying one step ahead of upcoming challenges.
