You can become a part of our success story and join exciting journey within Caljan. You would be part of global team who is working in different locations. In your role you will be working in our new facilities, which just been freshly finished, and office is in Liepāja, Latvia.

Responsibilities:

Customer project execution:

• Support sales department
• Create electrical design and bill of material list according to sales order, customer requirements and relevant standards
• Optimize PLC program according to project related functions.
• Assist manufacturing in troubleshooting problems.
• Update relevant project specification documentation according to companies’ project model and relevant standards.
• Provide support to field technicians and/or customers including troubleshooting service and spare part requirement.

Tasks within electrical engineering department:

• Design PLC programs for Siemens S7-1200 PLC in Ladder programing language including design of PLC safety program for S7-1200F PLC
• Design PLC programs for Allen Bradley Micro 800 series PLC in Ladder programing language
• PLC program performance analysis and optimization
• Frequency inverter parameter configuration/optimization
• Industrial communication (Profinet, EthernetIP, Profibus, AS-i ) configuration and setup
• Test configured software together with hardware engineer
• Prepare relevant documentation of algorithm description
• Ensure PLC program related design is documented, implemented, and updated.
• 2nd level service support

Requirements:

• Higher education in electrical engineering or another relevant field
• 3-year experience in similar role
• Experience of PLC programming. Knowledge’s of TIA portal and/or CCW program would be an advantage
• Experience in Frequency inverter parameter configuration / optimization
• Experience of selecting, configuring various type of sensors
• Knowledge in industrial network configuration
• Fluent English, as we work as part of international team
• Knowledge of hardware design
