Job Description
The daily carers visit people in their own homes, they will usually have a Rota of visits. The morning usually starting at about 7am this is to get people up out of bed and give breakfast. Some service users need to have their medication given to them. Each service user will have a time allocated to them, the time spent with them could be from ½ hr to 1 ½ hrs depending on what care they need.
The morning visits can go on to approx 11am and then the lunch time visits start, this can be providing lunch, assisting service users onto the toilet, giving medication etc. Lunch time visits can go on until sometimes 3pm in the afternoon
Tea time visits are usually similar to the lunch time visits usually start about 4pm and go into the evening. Staff who are doing the tea time visits will then go onto do the bedtime visits which is usually assisting service users to get ready for bed, medication etc. The night visits can go on to about 10pm

Requirements
Essential
■A calm and caring manner with the ability to provide physical and emotional support.
■Satisfactory references and enhanced CRB check.
■English speaking skills! (english skills will be tested in the interview in speech and written tests)
■DRIVING LICENCE!
Desirable
■Previous experience of working in care.
■NVQ in care - but training is available
