Zoku, which is Japanese for family, tribe or clan, facilitates global living and working for the traveling professional. Zoku is a new category in the hotel industry: a flexible home/office hybrid, also suitable for long stays, with the services of a hotel and the social buzz of a thriving neighbourhood. You can live, work, relax and socialize with like-minded people – while getting wired into the city. 

Zoku still feels very much like the high-energy and ambitious entrepreneurial start-up from its early beginnings; yet, it also benefits from strong financial backing and a professional set-up to “make it big”. Zoku is created by a small team of highly enthusiastic and engaged individuals who bring on board bags of enthusiasm and gumption. After opening the first Zoku in Amsterdam in 2016, the team started the European expansion and has now several deals in the pipeline to open in 2020 and beyond.

As our Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, attracting and signing new partnerships for both stays and meetings for our brand new Zoku Vienna property, which will open Q1 2021. You will be working closely with the General Manager in Vienna and the Commercial Director and Reservations team who are based at Zoku’s Home Office in Amsterdam.

We will be opening our second location in Vienna, Austria, in, Q1 2021. Located in the central Second District of Leopoldstadt, Zoku Vienna will be close to the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the Messe Wien Conference Center, and the iconic Prater park. The role of Sales Manager will firstly be focused on the preparation of the opening, followed by the opening the property and then operating the sales side of it.


  • Reach-out, attract and close partnerships with innovative companies that are looking for an amazing hotel, short stay accommodation and extended stay accommodation for their business travelers and relocations in Vienna
  • Keep partners engaged and up-to-date with Zoku, and explore interesting new opportunities
  • Reach out and close deals with 3rd party companies as a reseller for our Lofts and Meeting Rooms
  • Give exciting and informative tours of Zoku’s facilities to potential clients and other stakeholders
  • Keep our CRM up to date, filling it with new leads for potential partnerships
  • Organize Sales Blitz and visit conferences for potential partnerships

  • Have a relevant professional network in Vienna, or have a proven track record of creating new connections
  • Have a self-starter, entrepreneurial attitude, and who go above and beyond to close deals
  • Are target-driven, and are motivated to achieve their goals
  • Have an ambitious commercial drive, positive mindset and hospitable character
  • Have the motivation to take Zoku to the next level


  • You have minimum 3 years of experience in a similar function in the hospitality industry
  • You are an EU resident or have a valid working and residence permit
  • You love to work, as we need you full time
  • Have extraordinarily strong communication skills
  • You are fluent in both English and German, other languages are a plus
