Job Description
An international digital marketing company based in Miami, Florida, is looking for an experienced Wordpress developer to join the team in Riga’s office. Join us and be a part of our web development team, which is a group of web engineers building the latest web technology products. In the beginning, your primary responsibilities will include to create custom Wordpress sites and work on complex front-end solutions.
Requirements
- Ability and wish to constantly grow and learn new things
- Previous experience developing WordPress websites
- Proven understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery. Working React, Redux, Vue are a plus
- Comfortable building sites utilizing WordPress plugins such as Advanced Custom Fields
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector, Firebug, etc.
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Proficient with SSH from the command line - Ability to understand CSS/SCSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Proficient in using and altering MySQL databases
- A passion for writing clean code
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Experience with web servers, e.g. Nginx, Apache
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment Advantages
- Experience interacting with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Comfortable using Git. Branching, merging, resolving merge conflicts
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- Experience developing Shopify sites using Liquid.
- PHP OOP knowledge
- Experience in integrations via APIs
- Technical SEO knowledge
